Liberation & Resentment
An honest and personal inquiry around the frameworks and application of Liberation work
Let’s get into it.
In this video I discuss my reasons for not posting content for a while and my feelings of obligation to create. I explore the challenges of meeting obligations and expectations, particularly in the context of liberation work. I express resentment towards the way liberation is taught and the binary nature of its application. I also discuss the struggles of small businesses and the unsustainability of my current business structure. I emphasize the need for community care and the limitations of liberation frameworks. I finish it off by sharing future plans and inviting others to join me on my own journey of reimagining a new way forward.
Thoughts, comments, curiosity and general reflections welcome ☺️

I'm at 9:57 where you're talking about how some people are struggling and don't have capacity for community care. I think that's why right now it feels so difficult. It feels like the people who hold more privilege (be it resources or opportunities etc.) and who therefore aren't struggling don't really feel incentivized/obligated/ inclined or whatever you want to call it to dismantle any of these systems. Obviously this has always been the case but idk why it feels more bleak lately? Like worse than before, or maybe I was just naive and believed better of society?
I never watch video content but I watched this bc a) I love you and b) I knew you were about to say some things I feel in my soul and probably haven’t been able to articulate yet. You already know I’m right beside you in reimagining solutions beyond the unsustainability of the reality we’re living in and working through right now while holding certain values, morals, and not compromising our integrity. I hope this post inspires more people to speak up about how things aren’t working and step out of the obligation bubble and into curiosity. Aaaand, I’ll save the rest of my comments for rogue chat 🩵🔥
