Naps in the afternoon. Watching the sunrise and/or the sunset. Gathering for meals, jamming, creating or making something together.

No rush. Listen to the wind blowing in the canopy.

Feeling the other person as they talk. Listening fully. Talking/expressing - them listening fully.

I just picked up a geography book published in 1947, probably for 4th or 5th graders. Visiting other lands, other cultures.

They, each and every one, have rest times most days. Midday.

Close the shop. Go home, eat a big meal, nap. Reopen the shop in the cool of late afternoon.

Time to welcome visitors. Time watching the herd. Time while pounding the manioc.

The photos are of people physically healthy, alert, and relaxed. Present.

Food, shelter, community, ritual - all within reach, all part of the dance of daily exchange with the earth. As part of the earth.
