The resource list gave us the vision for a liberatory economy; worker control, collective ownership, economies built on solidarity. But visions need infrastructure, and unions have long been one of the most contested, most powerful pieces of that infrastructure. So this month, we’re going deeper into a single question: what happens when we stop treating unions as narrowly economic institutions and start recognizing them as racial and gender justice organizations?
